Answers to Accommodation/Colleges questions at UNSW

Fee's aren't really looked at as a "per week" basis. More per session or year. If you are going to live in sydney just for uni then go home for the breaks then it is better to live on campus because it is alot cheaper (you don't pay for when you don't live there) while renting on the other hand...

    Residential Colleges...UNSW

Warrane is the college everyone hates. I'm from Baxter College, probably in my biased opinion it is one of the best colleges on campus. Definatley go The Kensington colleges or New college they are the better ones. Apply before december if you want a good college! Most of the people in Warrane...

    What did you guys think?

I know exactly what you mean. I finished in 2 hours. and then went over my whole test adding things fixing it up. then i spent a good half hour on my two diagrams cause i had nothing better to do. You could feel the rest of the state gaining marks while you couldn't get anymore. it sucked.

yeah factor of safety and materials were on the right track. To Norry: It was definitely 100kg because the bending moment was 750nm at 1.5m (you may have thought it was 3m) as 750/1.5=500N therefore the Reaction A was 500N. then you repeat the process with the other side and get 500N also. Then...

    100kgs 500N for each reaction.

yes it is tru all states are different. but all states sit the HSC at different times. and i sat the HSC today in NSW so i would have had the same exam as you did.

    What did you guys think?

yeah i thought the exam wasn't the hardest of exams. the only question that i found hard was question one lol. it was either point C or area under both. other than that i found the exam pretty good hey. it might be a good thing this year! maybe more people will get band 6's!

tru sounds like an interesting school. we have 250 graduating but i bet ruse gets marks x 1000 better lol. like if i'm ranked 3/250 that would make me like 90/168 at Ruse or even worse right? :)

Just mulling over how bad the scaling is for engineering studies...... oh and how so little people get band 6's! it sux so bad. I bet this subject is the one that isn't counted for me.

Your probably right. I had first in Chemistry, Physics and Engineering. 2nd in 4 unit, 3rd in 3 unit and 11th out of 110 in English Advanced. I go to a public school but then again there are 250 year 12's in my year. They probably do rely on academic. Maybe they are just trying to get the cream...
