    Only 23% of carbon dioxide is attached to haemoglobin. The rest biocarbonate ions/carbonic acid. A compound binding 'strongly' to haemoglobin would be ALOT more than 23%.

    Question 1 is C (mutations lead to the generation of new alleles, crossing over in meiosis results in new allele COMBINATION, not 'new alleles'. They are different. Question 11 is D.
