Yer thats probably true...I'm just saying...how can he get aligned down (if he is at the top) when he got 83-84/84 and ended up with 100 ??? That's obviously getting aligned up!
Aligning benefits those at the lower end more.
Simply, the guys at the lower end get aligned...say from 60/84(71%) to 90%....while the guys at the top get scaled from 83/84 (99%) to 100%. The difference between the aligning for the bottom guys is 90-71=19%; and the top guys is only 100-99=1%...
You obviously have very little knowledge of how the scaling system works.
Firstly, each particular question is not scaled...so Q7 does not get scaled better than Q1. Your total raw mark for the exam is aligned. This is why it is more effective to do Q1-6 first (its better value - you get more...
Hey all,
I took the time to write up some Extension 1 solutions (hand written).
Let me know what you think of my answers...do you agree or disagree?
According to my own solutions I lost 12-14 Marks (70-72/84)
What do you think you'll get Raw out of 84?
Thanks.
NOTE...
Hey, in part (ii)
The first contribution she makes gains interest for 3 years:
A1 = 1000(1.06)^3
The second contribution she makes is increased by 1.06, and gains interest for 2 years only:
A2 = 1000(1.06)x(1.06)^2 = 1000(1.06)^3
The third ..... is increased by 1.06^2 and gains...
