    How to earn a title

Just out of curiosity, how does one earn one of those crazy titles awarded to each member like “Exalted member” etc… right now I’m a “new member” but I’d really like something cooler ;) I’m guessing it has to do with the amount of posts you’ve posted… but what is the cut-off number for each title?

Extension One STUDY DAY - Fairfield High

Yeah thats true, my teacher was less in depth with the syllabus stuff, plus our speaker seemed really enthused about the topic which always makes them ten times more engaging. I really think most of the problem was the sleep (or lack there of) factor.

Extension One STUDY DAY - Fairfield High

Your peers were lucky, my teacher decided to leave (without telling us). I know what you mean about the $38 thing, and plus it was so hard to wake up at eight after two hours sleep due to party at the friend who was driving me the next days place the night before (you know what i mean). To be...

    Post colonial vs postmodern

From my understanding of Postmodernism, if it uses postmodern tecniques it is postmodern (to me) when you consider the idea that (as the mighty smart Ziff put it) postmodernism rejects the idea of the 'new' and follows the idea that nothing is new anymore, everything has been done and anything...

    Retreat From The Global

I'm starting to get super un-enthused about Ex. 1, though that could be due to it being the last assignment i have to do before the holidays.. six more days of school for me! ah thank god for Athletics carnivals, Art Excursions and Careers Days. However, that also means there is little time...

    Patricia Piccinini

yeah, she does a lot of very cool sculptures, though mostly of anmalish things i think, to use a quote about SO2 i put in my last essay: “Because the creature is an animal, rather than a human being, it allows audiences to address genetic issues without the heightened emotions that the idea of...

    Art masturbation

no i completely agree with you on that, i know my idea has evolved dramatically over the past nine months, and its true, i've looked to other artists for inspiration, but its hard for me to move around with the restrictions of the HSC body of work. You know, i think i'll quit my...

    Art masturbation

Such is the way of the HSC. I've found that for this task, stealing *ahem* i mean referencing ideas from other artists is much more effective time-wise then coming up with your own ideas through experimentation etc. Plus it is apparantly a lot more credible :P

    Art masturbation

Yeah i think i can relate to what your saying, but in my case it's as if she looks at what i'm thinking of doing and is reminded of one of the billion exhibitions she's been to. And then says for example with a portrait i had done: "Why don't you cut out around the head, and stick it on a...

    Limitations?

ugh, what does the term 'limitations' refer to again when analising an experiment *looks stupid* I've completely forgotten, the last experiment i did (involving indipendant thought) was six months ago dammit!

    Patricia Piccinini

Does anyone know the names of the actual creators of Piccinini's work? i can't find them anywhere on the internet.

    Art masturbation

Don't get me wrong, I realise she's talented, i was simply applying another skill I've learnt from the HSC - taking a quote and twisting it to fit my argument ;). And yeah i understand that your body of work is basically a visual to demonstrate what you've learned both skill-wise and...

    Modelling transformers

hey if you have time could you please look at the write-up of my experiment? they're not my strongest point so i made sure to make it ultra simple, with only one variable - my teacher assures us all that penalties do not apply to those with only one variable. Thanks again!
