Was Text 3, Section 1 a Dog or Human??

Re: The Poem Was About A Dog? Yes you're right, it won't impact on your actual UAI or HSC mark, because i'm assuming you justified your reasons for it being a dog =) I was discussing how the markers mark. You are discussing how you BELIEVE the markers should mark. So clearly we are on two...

    Didn't Get To Finish

My teacher drilled it into my head to do my essay first (50 minutes), creative second (30 minutes) and reading task last. I chose not to listen and did it all in order. It worked. Less stressful and you build up the momentum and your writing pace as you go along because as the questions get...

How many booklets did you use?

Yeah my English teacher said that too - she has also marked HSC - about the writing on the blank pages. None of the stuff on blank pages or in the margins get read or counted.

Was Text 3, Section 1 a Dog or Human??

Re: The Poem Was About A Dog? Well good luck with your marks then dear friend, because if you haven't learnt in the past year that what counts in the HSC for English is your justification for your arguement, then your screwed :) Not everyone picks up metaphors like that. Keep in mind the AOS...

Was it ok if u disagreed with section 3's statement?

The HSC advice line said that because their is more to discuss if you agree with it. If you disagree, do not go in depth about reasons for why it is not true. I disagreed with it but i didn't exactly express it like that. I said that a strong human spirit is not necessary upon embarking on a...

Was Text 3, Section 1 a Dog or Human??

Re: The Poem Was About A Dog? It doesn't matter if you thought it was a dog or a person. The composer's purpose, for all we know, might have been to bring us to question the perspective which the poem is coming from - and that is exactly what we are doing by arguing whether it is a human or a...

    memoir, speech or story?

Hey guys, Just wondering, will you get penalised for not saying the word journey in your creative? And if so, how badly do you get penalised? Because even though you can tell that my creative is a journey, I never actually directly mentioned that. Im freaking out =( And I did memoir.
