  • I like maths, and im a little interested in astronomy, but at this point I have really no clue, which I think is because I haven't done enough subs yet to know what I enjoy. I am even considering Civil Engineering after this degree, but im not sure about Sydneys engineering faculty, I have read bad things haha. If I don't do civil, I may end up doing a graduate diploma in meteorology, but you have to go to melbourne to do that at the national bureau of meteorology, and it needs a math degree with two years worth of physics. I have thought about computing stuff, which is why im taking some it units.

Im part of scisoc. I actually don't do anything with it though, haha (still extremely shy with a large no. of people)
Honestly, i wasnt enjoying uni last semester and the thought of going back depresses me greatly. Yeah I have hecs debt now for two subjects i withdrew from after the census. If stats wasnt more useful for me id be taking MATH1004. Mum keeps wanting me to do part time, but i don't really want to still be doing my degree in 4 years. Yeah I want to major in applied maths, cause it sounds more interesting than pure. This is why I want to take some physics, because it basically is applied maths.
If the travel eventually proves to be too much for me, my only alternative is uws bsc, but im not sure how good that is for maths and phys, and you can only sub-major in phys.

Also, you might be interested, unless you already know:
I read somewhere that uws med is based of the same course and content as the old umelb med. This i didn't know. This is a good thing, considering umelb is number 1 in aus.
Im basically (kind of) restarting my degree as I see it, since i ended up withdrawing from chemistry and bio last semester, leaving me with Calculus and Linear Algebra. Now ill finish midyear 2016. Do you know anything about finishing mid year i should know?
Anyway, have a good semester, and good luck with the rest of your course.
Hey theres nothing wrong with Credits imo. Id be happy if I ended up with a credit avg in my degree. Dad only got credits and passes when he did med, except for opthamology, in which he got a distinction.
Im good. Turns out I hated Bio and Chem. Ended up doing just maths last sem. Now im doing phys, maths, it subjects. I dont get it cause I liked high school bio and chem. Are you liking med?
    Sounds good :) .
Dumb question, what exactly do you do at the hospital?

another unrelated question: Im not transferring to BScBA anymore, but I want to transfer to BSc(Adv). Do you think distinction average would be competitive enough? This would be an internal transfer, no? With internal transfers you don;t need to get credit for previous studies, yes?
She is white and I reckon she would absolutely gun the interview. Maybe she didnt make it.
Med 9 to 5 for you? thats how it was for my dad many decades ago...not sure if different due to different uni or if its different altogether. Do you have any free times at uni?
Yesterday, I got heaps of free junk....including a condom (WTF). I was so out of it when heading back to the station and there were these girls handing out free soft drinks, I just walked past and didn't take one. How stupid.
yay? I wish it did haha I can't tell you how fucking bored I am right now. You still working? Im still looking for casual work.
    Hey riproot,
do you think doing heaps of umat questions on my own is enough or do i need to get a tutor?
At the moment I am doing well when I do the papers I have but never get it does in time and my worst section is II :(
sorry for the lag, i didn't see this message.
