Oh yep, I'm doing Bachelor of Business/IT but I've dropped down to taking only 2 subjects so now I can make it to all classes. Thanks for the help anyhow! It's good to know that they do have the lectures recorded and uploaded.
Yeah Black Hawker is right. We do the timetable at enrolment, where they give you a sheet with the list of subjects you are advised to take each semester. I was also advised to take even amounts of Business and IT.
Is it vital to attend all lectures? I'm working full time and attending classes at night and so there are some lectures that I can't get to. Do you think I could just arrive to lectures late and catch up later by downloading them or something? Does UTS even do the download-able lecture thing...
Re: BAcc 2008...
As I expected, I didn't make it unfortunately. :( Ah well, it was my own fault for not researching the role of an Accountant at a Corporate Enterprise properly. I made it up on the spot >.>
You just answered your own question: the current financial crisis. Companies aren't readily forking out extra cash at the moment. Some are actually looking to lay-off employees in an attempt to maintain profits.
Yep most of the Big 4 offer a couple of spots in Business Advisory. It's really much too early for this sort of talk. Wait until next year's Chartered Accountants Career Day. They'll have pamphlets at your school and advertise it at the website when more info comes out...
