No doubt, they shouldn't be anywhere near the quality of this competition to even be in it. They should 100% be challenging for Champions League every year, if not, Europa League at the very least. But I guess that's what happens when you let West Ham and Leicester finish above you in the Premier League. I also don't see both Manchester teams, Chelsea and Liverpool finishing outside the Top 4 for quite a while now. If anything, maybe Manchester United based on their manager and form.
man utd ain't sacking ole anytime soon

as long as he stays, the more sense of happiness rival football fans endure

Madrid won btw 😍😍
Pretty much undershadowed by the demolition of United, but nevertheless, a good result. I would 100% say though that ever since Messi and Ronaldo left their Spanish sides (as well as players like Neymar, Suarez), the El Classico has never been the same. I would argue the derbies in the EPL may be bigger, just because of the quality of players in the top 4 teams especially.

I agree. El Classico isn't really that exciting now for obvious reasons. But I don't think it is going to take too long to revive the excitement as the youngsters in both teams are exceptional especially Vini and Fati who are absolute beasts. If we are able to sign Mbappe, and Barca are able to get the club back on its feet, El Classico could be back to being the biggest derby in the world. But also considering the insane amount of hype and quality in teams like Liverpool and City, the El Classico would still be kind of undershadowed for the upcoming years.

Real Madrid I agree can revive their club, based on their generational talent (like Benzema) and their young talent (like Vinicius). However, with Barcelona, on the other hand, their situation seems to be getting worse. Quite embarrassing losses in the Champions League, an awful financial situation (where players had to take silly pay cuts, like 50%, which then lead to Messi leaving) and a manager who doesn't seem like he has confidence in his own club. I think I also read that Aguero wants to leave, only having joined them, to play with Messi at PSG.

you know how mad that is, that we are literally worth more than one of the biggest football clubs in the world
