    What to buy for uni?

I guess it depends how many handouts you get. I put mine in the pockets in the subject dividers, I guess they can hold quite a few. I didn't get lecture printouts, but if you do I guess you could just store them all in a folder of some sort. I just liked having all my stuff in the one place.

british passports - jumbo or standard?

My mum is from Scotland so I have an Eu passport and they don't get stamped b countries in the EU or part of the Schengen Agreement. Even Australian passports don't get stamped in the countries that are part of the Schengen Agreement (The Netherlands, Belgium, Austria, Demark, Finland, Greece...

haha sorry my mistake, but becuase of that, we still have not found out whether the topic starter has a genuine disability, and that takes me back to where I started. Oh well

    Handwriting

You could have stated this in your initial post if you wanted any kind of accurate advice. The way I read you post is that you were just someone with shitty handwriting trying to get out the easy way. If I knew you had a genuine disability and was seeing a docotr/professional about it, it would...

    University Exclusivity

Thats more based on course exclusivity rather than uni. Sure the CSU Advertising course is really good, but CSU is probably on par with UWS in terms of uni exclusivity. I'm sure UWS specialises in certain courses more than other universities. Also, UTS is probably the best uni for Graphic design...

@ aMUSED1977 1. And you know this how? 2. What do you mean relevent? I'm talking about the advantages having a computer would give the student, which supports my argument that I don't think universities should let a student with bad handwriting use a laptop. Just becuase the topic starter...

    fashion epiphanies...

I realised I have not worn a skirt this summer at or (expect in the form of a dress). I have lived in shorts. I only wear jeans/pants in the winter and when it's cooler.

The most you'd ever spend on a pair of jeans

I live in skinny jeans in the winter. I find they suit me the best becuase I'm tall (5'11). The most I'd ever spend would be around $300. For me, jeans are a staple item in my closet, they go with everything and although there are a lot of different styles, they are generally not trend based, so...

    1. I'd hardly call having bad handwriting a disability. That's just exploiting those who do have a genuine disability, like yourself. Don't you think? 2. Scribes are used all the time. I remember when I was doing my HSC a few people had them. Some people have disability transferring thoughts...

    Food expenses

I lived on campus when I was at Newy uni. It's hard to tell you how much, becuase I don't know how much you eat. It also depends where you shop. I spent about $40 week not inc alcohol. I only drink when I go out, but I guess that would come under entertainment costs rather than food. I find...

    Handwriting

Well forgive my ignorance. I don't go to USYD, but I think its pretty logical to think they would not let you type an exam out, e.g cheating. And personally I've never heard of anyone using a computer to type out exams. University learning units pay people to be writers for students. There are...

    Handwriting

All written assignments (i.e the stuff you do from home) has to typed. When it comes to written exams, sometimes lectures won't even bother looking at it or marking it if they can't read it. So you really should work on improving your handwriting. If all else fails, you could possibly apply for...

    University Exclusivity

My sister studied accounting at UNE. I would not say it is the most prestigious uni, probably on par or even less prestigious than UWS, but she graduated with a GPA nearing a HD average, and did 2 internships during her degree. She now works at PWC. So in my opinion, in the end it all depends on...

    Fashion and Textiles Design course

I did Art, Textiles and DT in my HSC. It definetly helps when doing a uni degree in that field becuase there are many concepts that are going to be new to you, and most other students probably will have done an art/design related subject in their HSC, so you may feel disadvantaged. Visual Arts...

    ****fashion Design @ Uts ?****

There are many private providers that offer fashion design, and sometimes thats better than going to university. East Sydney TAFE is a good one and it's quite competitive. When I was in year 12 I did a work shop with the Whitehouse School of Fashion and Interior Design, and they are excellent...
