i can tell you that the networking teacher is a bit of a cranky guy.
seems to yell at students every week when they answer his questions wrong.
Very short tempered, and brings his PMS to class every week.
ontop of that, he cant teach for poo, all he does is rush through everything and get angry...
hehe wat is it about these BIT people..
they seem way cooler than the other bScIT people..
i just cant figure it out.. they all have this sort of charm...
lol
i think u dont understand that a double degree simply means your course would be a little bit longer..
you are not actually doing more than a person in a single degree per semester..
u may have to do more semesters.. but each semester's workload is the same
eg. 4 subjects..
u usually goto...
im taking this subject this sem too..
lecturer said they changed the entire subject again.. so we are the guineapigs .. hehe
but he did say in the tute that nobody fails..
i doubt networking 101 would be that hard.. seriously ..
i like these kinda subjects where if you study hard .. you will...
i just started my IT submajor .. and i love it !!
love the practical nature of the classes..
and also the kind of students that do IT .. they are just like me .. easy to get along with them...

im thinking of maybe taking up an IT...
im doing this subject this sem..

looks like we in da same class lol...
n e wayz.. i went to the UNIX workshop for this subject since u need to know how to use UNIX or...
nah i have mates who have been to tafe first.. and then uni afterwards..
and from their testimonial, its true that tafe is way easier than uni...
also the style of teaching is very different, the assessment methods, etc.. basically uni exams r much harder
from my experience.. transfer to an easier uni .. say UWS.. where they tend to mark easier for exams.. and also scaling students up.. so even if your raw mark was a fail.. ud probably pass..
thats how it was for me when i used to goto UWS...
i had great marks at UWS and never really studied...

would that 1 failed subject still be counted towards your wam/gpa ... ?
i hope not since its not longer part of...
Hey guys, and gals,
Anyone have experience in dropping their majors, and picking up another one..??
Eg. Say someone only just started their accounting major, doing 2 subjects from the accounting major. He/she then fails the 2 subjects, and decides to drop the accounting major..
Now...
hey peepz,
how do you calculate the GPA if you have failed a subject, and then passed it on your 2nd attempt.
im thinking of 3 possibilties in calculation methods:-
1. Disregard the first failed attempt and only count the most recent passed attempt.
2. Add the 1st attempt and 2nd...
i failed CMS..==>> Cost Management Systems..
its too hard...
i think its now the hardest subject in the accounting major.. replacing ABC which used to be the hardest..
i know people who also failed CMS, but passed ABC.. so there you go ^_^
hence i decided to drop my accounting major.. and...
