    UTS BIT Application

Did you mean the final result/offer? They called me up the same day the ATAR came out, before sending me an email on the same day. A lot of people got their offer mid January though, after the first round. If you do get an offer, HMU! We usually organise events/initiatives for new BIT students...

    Matrix or Sigma Science?

I went to both, and my rank went up from bottom in year 11 (from going Matrix ((((: I went there from year 7 onwards ) to top 5 in early Year 12 (from going Sigma!!!) Matrix was alright, however some of the tutors were super questionable when it came to explaining things, which is probably why...

    Bit co-op UTS advice

lmao it's 3am so will write better answer later but they're looking for transferable skills like leadership, teamwork, but the #1 thing is how keen you are to learn. That's been a big trend in my cohort - not a lot of people with previous technical experience (there are a few though - amazing...

    Truth about BIT Co-op

Lmao I get where you're coming from bc it was the exact same thing w the unsw coop for me (I wanted UNSW bc my family has always gone there so more of a tradition, got through all the rounds but due to my lower atar, I had to go through seeing my friends (with absolutely no interest in tech...

    How is UTS BIT COOP?

OMGGGGGG gurl it's amazing, congrats! You'll get sent an info package in a few days (probs Thursday), it has all the deets in it and stuff about what current students think of it But yeah, it's a really tight knit and supportive cohort that's rare across every degree in every university, it'll...

    It @ uts 2019

o lmao nvm I realised the site says 'This course is only offered to new international students. Local students in an existing UTS course may be able to transfer into it.' lmfao wtf but yeah it's stupid bc lots of ppl have so much trouble trying to find internships that they end up...

    It @ uts 2019

That's strange, a few of my friends transferred from the 5 year degree to the 4 year degree and they're all domestic students.

    It @ uts 2019

I'm incredibly biased toward UTS so I'm probably the worst person to ask :') Also, the 5 year degree is only when you include the Diploma of Prof Practice. There's also a 4 year version! https://www.uts.edu.au/future-students/find-a-course/bachelor-engineering-honours I think the Software...

    2018 HSC+ATAR results discussion Thread

Being the person w the lowest ATAR from my selective high school in my year, I know what you mean. But regardless of what mark people get - nothing makes anyone's opinion/emotions invalid. Think about it: these kids have tried their absolute hardest, they can't help how they feel - it's just...

    2018 HSC+ATAR results discussion Thread

people have different expectations and goals for themselves so pls try not to bash on another person's feelings about their marks, it might seem attention seeking but maybe they genuinely feel upset because the hsc can be such an emotionally draining experience sometimes anyway gl and congrats...

    2019ers Chit-Chat Thread

Schools generally do this bc they are scared you will have no backup if you fk up a subject. You can generally convince them by (if you have any proof) showing them proof that you don't intend on stuffing up, you're willing to put in your all and why you think you will be better off doing 10...

branches of engineering - which to choose?!

Teh person who posted originally is a gril Classes tend to be better if you're not stuck being the only girl in your class.

Bachelor in Sci and Bachelor fo Computer Sci

It's still a possible way to get around not being able to combine sci and comp sci. And it's not a whole year more if you're combining it with sci, it's the same length as the combined compsci/sci degree at UNSW.

Bachelor in Sci and Bachelor fo Computer Sci

How about sci + software eng at uts :O I heard compsci @uts is quite weak in comparison to software eng/IT, not sure though bc I haven't experienced it myself.
