Sorry if i havent read this thread v carefully but engineering is a very broad term so anyone doing aerospace eng their major would be....aerospace engineering. Unless you mean if they work with either spacecraft or aeroplanes (i think thats what aerospace means, srry im not an engineering person)

Re: Is there any use bringing a laptop to uni? I went to ANU science for a year and never used my laptop in lectures for notetaking. But for listening to lecture recordings, assignments and general work I wouldnt have survived without my laptop/ printer because you never know when the uni...

    Creative Science?

its not like you have to study it at uni to be it. Keep up the art, practise a musical instrument etc etc... you DO have spare time you know, so if you want to 'keep your creative zen' then dont spend all your nights out drinking etc.

    Double Degree

Dont do it for the sake of it. But if you enjoy both and see a way that it could make you more versatile in the future, then might as well take on the challenge!

Chances of a 2nd chance for med?

Yea, its lower for rural applicants. =) Personally, regarding your post, it is a big decision to be bonded as you say. But so is being a doctor, which is about providing to communities in need of healthcare. Some doctors spend even their christmas away halfway across the country. Now even...

Chances of a 2nd chance for med?

Oh god, being sick for umat? ouch. Lol my story was totally different. I lost my admission ticket and was running around looking for it while people were starting. The supervisors said i could still sit the test providing i found it after. But I was so flustered by then I was just thinking about...

Chances of a 2nd chance for med?

I would go for bonded if i were you. I know people that have turned away offers because the idea of being bonded to the army etc. seemed daunting. But thinking realistically - You are going to be what you want to be. You are still going to find work. You are still going to find a place to...

    Doctors/specialists that DON'T do surgery?

I did a week or so as a 'med' student with a local doctor this year, and just so you know, every now and then he was required to do minor surgery in the practice (cutting off bits, growths). And i don't think you can avoid needling people either. When i was there, there were so many people...

Chances of a 2nd chance for med?

Wow thanks for letting me know. In the end, i am counting on a couple of the high performing students who get both monash/unsw/adelaide etc to leave a few vacancies when they go their prospective way. I dont know if im thinking realistically though especially when universities already count on...

    Med. rejection thread.

Im coming to terms but am actually more excited at the prospect of going to uni anyway. If after a 4 year degree i am still keen to be a doctor, itll be a good way to find out that med is for me!
