My learners license expired can I still use it as ID to get into bars?

I'm 20 and I use my expired learners license to get into bars/clubs. Nobody ever looks at the exp date. Even if they did, I have credit cards etc to show them anyway.

Completing a course in NSW and then moving to QLD

Legal Practitioners Admissions Board - Queensland Law Society Contact the QLD LPAB and they'll give you all the info you need. It shouldn't really be too hard

    So is Law Enjoyable?

As for a job in the industry, I highly suggest you try to get a week of work experience. I work as a paralegal, and personally I really enjoy it. It's a lot of hard work (especially studying law on top of working full time!), but it is enjoyable, and I think it's worth it in the long run. You...

    Diploma in Law - LPAB

Thanks for your replies! ninjapuppet - At the moment our marks are still made up of 100% exams :mad1: Although we were told that next semester the exam would be worth 80% and the assessment would be 20%... which is an improvement! I'm currently working as a paralegal and 3 out of the 4...

I was just wondering who's done it, how challenging they found it, the sort of workload involved, what job you managed to find yourself while doing it, etc. Any info or tips would be much appreciated! :uhhuh: I was thinking of starting off with just one subject to ease myself back into...

    Who pays board?

Just wondering how many other people do, plus your circumstances etc - Are you working, if so: full or part time? Are you provided with food etc? I work about 3-4 days a week (gap year), pay $100 a week rent (for a room which I share with someone else who's also paying $100 a week for it), buy...

    University Prerequisites

Suggested subjects: 4U math English Phys Chem TOTAL = 10U. Aside from english, they're all pretty mathsy. You don't need to do history or art to get your hsc, so just enjoy the bludge time you have! :p

    Chemistry or Senior Science?

If you want "well rounded understanding of science", I'd go sen sci. You do a bit of everything, which I found interesting. I was in the same position, I ended up dropping Chem and picking up Sen Sc, mainly because I thought I could do better with less work, which was definately the case. But I...

WTF?! Not allowed to? As in... it exists, but they don't let you?! I'd be too scared of giving people too much change!

Just keen to get a bit of a debate going

Wouldn't that just be a case of strict liability? If you're driving you should be aware of the laws. You can't exactly just complain and say "I didn't know I wasn't allowed to do that". Whether or not it harmed anyone, it's a law for a reason.
