    there are never any bonus points for law degrees, it would be stupid since the UTS cut off is 97.00 and people mostly likely got at least 3 band 6s = already the max 5 bonus points which makes them well over uai of 100.

    yeh can prepare dot points about ur main ideas for the focus questions as these will always be about the main parts of the syllabus but u hav to remember to specifically apply it to the question otherwise u'll be marked down alot! do not write up a whole essay and rote learn though

    keep it if u enjoy it. for me it didnt count int he end for my uai but the pracs are a good way to giv urself a break from all the theory in ur other subjects. also u never no, it might be the one u do reli well in and might actually count. while it doesnt scale as well if u stuff up another...

    no its isnt so much an "English" essay in terms of the sophistication of ur writing but rather the content. u must focus on answering the question - all parts of it. incorporate cases, legislation, media articles and other documents to support your arguments u can have the usually intro, body...

    follow the syllabus points under "effectiveness" ie resource effiency, equality etc and if tis in relation to the topic consumer law then choose several broad issues in consumers to discuss the effecitvness. the question is very broad so it leaves you scope to choose the issues u want to talk...

    because the question says "moral and ethical standards" u must concentrate on modern examples so very new statute and common law reforms dont use domestic violence extensively as ther r no new cases instead focus on: same sex marriage reforms(bills) birth technology surrogacy etc doesnt matter...

    anything that causes disruptions to family units can be: divorces = effectiveness of no fault clause, mediation (ADR), fed magistrate court etc child maintenance - not paying rights of parent over child in surrogacy cases - very good if u need to put modern example in for like qs on change

    firstly legals doesnt scale "that" well. its just above average. economics scales better 2ndly, in terms of English, it needs only enough English to write a good factual essay. if u can write well in terms of putting a lot of information in the writing u'll do well. u dont need flashy big words...

    legal studies was a great subject! very relevant to current issues. u rely heaps on the media etc. but ti also helps to make u think about the world through different perspectives. makes u question everything...is this legal? can i sue sum1 4 that etc but u hav to wait until HSC yr b4 it gets...

    u need to make sure u cover all the forms of effectiveness ie effectiveness for the individual, and effectiveness for society it should be in the HSC syllabus question is very broad and i think canbe easily answered if u use the syllabus as a structure most likely to achieve justice the outcome...

    no u dont need any ext subjects i didnt do any ext english or math and still got 98 u jsut need to hav a consistent level of band 6's, dont need to be too high but at least 93 or sumthin yeh and no sciences

    political influences are simply those that affect a new law or an amendment which move to favorable to voters. e.g. anti-smoking laws which the majority of socitey supports = law passes
