What are people creating for the HSC?

Yeah.. you guys wanting to make a 3D game are a bit too ambitious I think. I've been into game development for 3 years or so, and so unless you're using an already made engine like Dr_Doom is, and have good experience in game design and programming.. the project will most likely be a failure...

    What UAI did you get?

Good going smart arses. ;) I got 79.15 and SAM predicted 79.9 so it was pretty close. All you nubs complaining about SAM being wrong should shut up. It's not suppose to give the exact UAI, its an ESTIMATE. All these huge UAI's and you don't understand that simple word? Come on. Lol...

    calculations

There was nothing wrong with the damn question. Whether the plates were in the horizontal or vertical axis it makes no difference to the fact it still has weight force. The only difference is that because they were horizontal the weight force was cancelled out with the repulsion from the...

    calculations

I figured it like this.. the particle is in mid air and there are two forces acting on it, one being gravity pulling it down, and the other from the electric field - depending on what sign the charge was. I said the charge was positive so it would repel from the positive charged plate from below...

    Transformers question

I'm still correct, but yes I read it wrong and what Im talking about is powerloss in transmission. Still, by upping the voltage you drop the current because of conservation of energy, so it works either way, if one goes up, the other must go down. Less current = less heat = less powerloss...

    Transformers question

Well its a step up transformer for that reason. Stepping up the voltage, means the current must come down. From the powerloss equation: P = I^2 R Thus if we lower 'I', the powerloss is reduced.

Softwares over! How'd we all go?

The test was pretty damn easy, especially the multiple choice for once. For "Modular approach" think about it... you would be putting all the code into modules. Duh. Which in this case, you'd have language modules for each culture/language the piece of software was going to support. When the...

    Attention All Schoolies Goers...A Lesson...

His happy face with the addition of the text suggests we should all just "shut the fuck up", drink our cuppa-jo, and get along. Anywho, that was my interpretation I was trying to get across. :)

    Attention All Schoolies Goers...A Lesson...

Please.. this thread is pathetic. How about we all go on our merry way to whatever makes us feel good and quit bitching here. I'm going to schoolies with about 18 people in my year and we plan to have decent fun - which includes a bit of drinking and other activities like paintballing and the...

Looks kinda like a slightly different Cubic curve to me.

    revision notes

Yeah notes doesn't really work for this subject. I find if you *understand* the maths then you remember it and notes aren't needed. Just go over practise questions, attempt them then check with the solution and try understand why and how that solution works.

how many pages did you write?

S1. 5.5 S2. 2 S3. 5.5 I came 13th overall in school based assessments, so I hope this helps for this exam cause even though it is 13th, my half yearly's and trials were only just passes. I duno how it all works but I'd be happy with 60's for a final result.

    Wilfred Owen

Ah crap. I took it as being just ONE poem and that is it, so I only wrote 2 pages on 'Dulce Et Decorum Est'. I thought something was fishy about that question but the way it was worded made me just talk about one. :/ So I get 5.5 pages for Section 1 and 3.. and only 2 pages for Section 2... Grrr.

    Hard AS!!

I had 12 also. And technically Disk Defrag and Cleanup dont "configure" the hard drive, but they do alter the data. But you know these people, they are pretty dumb when it comes to the technical side of computers and I guess they worded it incorrectly.

    Hard AS!!

I'm pretty positive it is D, the disk cleanup and defrag tools. Because if you look at the question, it quotes "the use of an operating system tool. and the only tools there that are in an operating system which they expect you to know(windows) is Disk Cleanup and Defragmentation.

    Easy as

I think I went quite well. It was pretty easy exam. I did bit over 1 booklet for Q.21, and 1.5 booklets for Q.23. I noticed a lot of changes in those examples, but I used the ones only relating to "Text" changes, so I didnt use the image change. I did the "Ccourses" to "Courses" the font...
