Yeah it's normal, different courses will be available from different time periods.
MGMT1001 showed up about a week ago whilst ACCT1501 only showed up just recently.
If worst comes to worst it will show up tomorrow morning so don't stress out about it.
Re: UNSW chit chat thread 2016
Oh yeah thanks heaps
If anyone else was wondering about this you have to un-click all boxes except for Week 1 and press "Get Timetable"
Re: UNSW chit chat thread 2016
Yeah I'm doing MGMT1001 but with the introduction message they say "We look forward to seeing you on the 29th of February" as opposed to the introduction to ACCT1501 where they explicitly state that tutorials will commence from week two onwards :/
Join societies via the UNSW Arc website and then read the posts the societies make to keep up to date with meetings, events, etc.

You should also go and get the Arc foil sticker they place on the back of your ID card
The only implication is that you're extending the length of your degree
Try visiting Student Central or FM Assist - There will be people there to help you out

Are there any free online courses (I've heard of website like edX) I could take whilst studying at university that would score me a good qualification (I wouldn't mind paying $50 + for the certificate at the end)?

I'm planning on purchasing the book

When can I expect the course outline to be released?
From previous posts it seems that these are the prescribed textbooks:
ACCT1501: Financial Accounting - An Integrated Approach
ECON1101: Principles of Microeconomics
Would you recommend any other textbooks for these subjects or will those suffice?
+ Should I be buying the latest editions?
I went and got my ID card from the library on the 25th of January - The guy said they were expected to have everyone's details by the 27th of January (today) but since I accepted my offer and did everything on the 20th I was able to get it. Remember to bring some form of ID with a recent picture...
Based on watching heaps of reviews on youtube I'd go for the Surface Pro 4
A lot of people talked about how "wobbly" the screen of the Surface Book was when connected to the keyboard (i.e. When you use the touchscreen)
+ It also depends on your budget because Surface Book is almost double the...
