It all comes down to the quality of the applicant pool.

School 'failed to get me into law'

Must have been some really fucking good chocolate fortune cookies. -_- (Omg we should sue the school too because they directly stopped this totally feasible business from running and therefore we missed out on fucking good chocolate fortune cookies!)

School 'failed to get me into law'

    1. I thought you had to be within a certain proximity for most of them? Or is that a public selective school thing? 2. I am aware, was just pointing out the mentality of some parents.

How do you set out your maths book?

I think it's just personal preference :) Just like with the whole exercise book/loose leaf debate.

School 'failed to get me into law'

Well this school is a private school and (obviously) the parent thought it was supposed to be academically focused. And yeah, catholic schools are quite different.

How do you set out your maths book?

I use Whitelines notebooks for maths because it's easier on my eyes (for me anyway); they cost a lot as they come from Sweden and no one else makes them...so I tend to be economical in my approach to how I set out my work: I don't draw a line but mostly everything I do is done in 2 columns. I...

School 'failed to get me into law'

Lol, tell that to all those Asian parents who move suburbs so they can be eligible to send their kid to James Ruse, and then from there into Law/Medical school! Parents of top private school kids = pay lotsa money = expect kid to get 99 ATAR. But yeah, you can't really relate your school to...

    Advice :)

I've read research that indicates us humans used to have a bi-phasic sleeping pattern like this. It's also apparently more efficient as in you spend more time in the deep sleep (or whatever) phase that regenerates your energy levels etc. I really want to try it out but it would be bad for my...

School 'failed to get me into law'

Ultimately this girl is not taking any responsibility whatsoever for her actions (or non-actions); it's like suing the council for you falling into an obviously marked hole next to the foot path. Hopefully this case gets trashed, like it deserves.

    Higher vs Normal (Maths)

Is that due to allotting HD's D's and C' etc based on a quota? Like top 10 get hd, etc? Sorry, I don't know much about this and I was wondering myself.

    help with gas volumes question

Remember: At 25oC (298.15 K) and 100 kPa (0.987 atm) 1 mole of an ideal gas has a volume of 24.79 L. So basically all gases occupy the same volume of space in 1 mole. Because this question only requires you to work out the volume of one gas compared to another, you don't have to worry about...

Why wearing glasses gives off a "nerdy" look?

I'm moderately short-sighted, but I only wear my glasses in class and watching tv. That's it. I've been told that glasses make me look super smart (but not in a nerdy way). I think it comes down to whether you choose glasses that complement your face; when you don't, you look nerdy. Never want...

    Vertex question

I'm currently doing revision and I came across a set of questions I have no memory of learning. I've been trying to work it out for the past 2 hours but the more I stare at it, the more I get confused. K, so the type of question is this: you have to work out the equation of a parabola; you're...

    Do you believe in God?

True. But I guess that happens when you write something that sounds good and people like it cuz it gives them hope, then you wait a few thousand years and boom millions of people have read it (as happens with good fiction coupled with power and money-hungry churches).
