I was talking about your solutions to the abs value questions. If you did them by case definitions, then you have to check their met the conditions (If you don't get what I'm saying dw. And there was only 20 questions all together so probably wasn't too many abs values).
It get's annoying when there is multiple absolute values. And also graphs are just -_____________- y= |x+3|-|1-x| Too many times I got this wrong I don't even want to look at it.
Btw what does it mean by roots? I've seen that word thrown around a lot in polynomials and stuff (I havn't learnt it yet). Does it literally mean.. square root? or is it like basis or something.
I overlooked this bit :( So that's why going into equations and stuff didn't work so well. Integers integers integer.
Does a math question ever include redundant information which is not necessary to like... trick someone? Like for the triangle question they could have included 12m^2 as the...
One day you will be able to see into the future Fawun. Ain't even lying lol. With more experience, the better you can tell if you're heading down the wrong road when trying to solve a question. At this point, you rethink your approach and start over.
With more experience you can see steps ahead of you that are redundant i.e. they just take up space. The markers will be able to see it too and so writing it out completely won't be necessary. It's like how mathematicians use the term 'clearly' in their solutions.
3 pages later I think I may have to give up. :'( :'(
Edit: Fail whale, x = 5. I thought a maths question could always be tackled by manipulating the equation to get an answer. Who would've thought of 3,4,5 triangle seriously LOL..
Yeah I've been messing around with that for a while now. I WILL GET THE ANSWER WAIT FOR IT LOL. Sy123 has pointed out some famous pythag triad I am unaware of, so I'm not going to google it :)
