    What's the hardest 3U topic?

This is just a matter of opinion. Mine would have to be projectile motion, but I haven't started any probability or mathematical induction. Also, any tips would be appreciated :)

    Solving trig equations

^yeah what he said. Even if you stuck with your working sinx=0 cannot be a solution as cotx would become undefined

    differentiate

    Multiply by e^{4x} e^{4x}y=cos3x \\ e^{4x}\left (\frac{dy}{dx} + 4y\right ) = -3sin3x \\ e^{4x}\left (\frac{d^{2}y}{dx^{2}} + 4\frac{dy}{dx} \right) + 4e^{4x}\left (\frac{dy}{dx} + 4y\right ) = -9cos3x Multiplying by e^{-4x} \frac{d^{2}y}{dx^{2}} + 8\frac{dy}{dx} +16y =-9y \\...

    differentiate

    I see, but it does make some questions easier e.g. $If $ y=e^{-4x}cos3x,$ prove:$ \\ \frac{d^{2}y}{dx^{2}} + 8\frac{dy}{dx} +25y = 0

    differentiate

Thanks, I just learnt implicit differentiation today, not sure why us 3U students aren't taught it though it comes in handy.

    How do you study maths?

It should be stressed that you should learn the concepts if you want to do well, not just the methods. The HSC can throw anything at you, so if you just learn how to do certain questions you won't understand what's actually happening.

Anyone That Can Please Help me with Circle Geo Questions?

    1. The two triangles are congruent (top angles are the same, PS is common and PSQ=PSR=90, or equiangular) Thus through pythogoras' theorom PS^2 = PQ^2 - SQ^2. But SQ = RS and PQ = PR (as they are congruent) Therefore PS^2 = PQ x OE -RS x SQ I'm at tafe right now hence I can't use the proper...
