Dramas at work! Loss prevention are investigating *someone* from front-end (smoke shop specifically), whose identity hasn't been revealed. For stealing cash & smokes, apparently. I wanna know. Also front-end 2IC took holidays and then quit. OK. New 2IC next week. ~Interesting~ EDIT: and no...

    WSU Chatter Thread

Re: 2010 UWS Chatter Thread My advice would be to give it some time to go through :) If it hasn't come through by Monday evening, email your unit co-ordinator.

I don't wear gloves ever  Under my old SM, the front end girls would be counselled for discrepancies of $20+ I wish 2ICs had 300 numbers in my store! Ours has "officially" run out of numbers for managers/2ics. So my manager numbers were taken off me :(

    Engagement Party!

Wedding I am going to this weekend. The bride is Leb, the groom is Aussie. Can I expect the wedding to be slightly less formal than an all-out Leb affair??

Our previous SM had a somewhat superior "I'm better than you" air to him. I knew exactly who he was but pretended I didn't :) "And who are you and why are you walking into my bakery with no hairnet on???" "I'm your SM" "And I'm the Queen of Sheba" "No really, I am" "Well duh, I'm not dumb. I'm...

Muslim leader wants elements of sharia in Australia - SMH 08MARCH2010

The argument has flaws, though. If these people want to live under a system which adopts some Sharia principles (e.g. the divorce custody settlement specifically), then this should be settled outside of the legal system (privately, with hired solicitors, who come to an agreement incorporating...

*shrugs* Maybe it's just your store, Harry, coz my store seems to have quite a lot. Pretty much every department manager/2ic (apart from the groceries manager, who says he hasn't bought them simply because he has enough of the old ones to last quite some time) has them. SM and SSM are waiting on...

Lebo weddings ok ok. For weddings where, for example, the bride is Lebo but the groom is Aussie... generally slightly less formal than the standard Lebo wedding??

I discovered that the apprentice is a very good worker, and he made my life bliss today :) I also discovered that I am doing 4 weeks 2IC relief after Easter (making it 12 weeks total this year), at least another 2 weeks in October (14 weeks total) another 2 weeks in either September or November...

They had this at my store under the old SM (for like, his last week). I gotta admit, security-wise it does make sense. Pain in the arse, but makes sense.

What are the limits in Creative Writing?

OP: Don't listen to this. You don't want to stereotype your markers. This is terrible advice, ok. As far as I'm concerned, sexual assault isn't inappropriate to have as a theme in your creative writing, so long as you address it in a tasteful way. Just be aware that it can be something of a cliche.
