Best Physics teachers at Matrix Education?

I don’t know if he still tutors there but at the Strathfield campus when I went Anant Tanna is a beast. Really funny guy and engaging to listen to

SIGMA > ACE ????? (FOR PHYSICS)

The thing with a tutoring centre like ACE is it all depends on who you get as a teacher as there will be different tutors as it is not all one person tutoring the classes, so you have to factor that in. Their materials are probably excellent as well but that's an important thing to factor in...

    Chemistry New Syllabus Resources

For THSC you will just have to wait probably into next year there will be more stuff for you to use. In terms of topic specific things that's something that you can't really find for exams because the assessments schools usually do are: depth-study, practical test, maybe 1 exam and then the...

    Chemistry New Syllabus Resources

This isn't really papers or worksheets but I made a post here on some common tips in answering questions: https://boredofstudies.org/threads/chemistry-new-syllabus-advice-sample-answers-by-an-experienced-hsc-tutor.388479/ This may be useful for you as you learn things. In terms of where to find...

    Maths: Private or Dr. Du?

Studying ahead in maths is good what you need to basically factor in is these things: 1. Who is the better tutor that you currently have? (in terms of things like their teaching style, do they give you help outside lessons by messaging etc) 2. What resources are available to them? (the tutoring...

    is rawmarksdatabase actually accurate??

Marks vary each year based on the exam difficulty and student cohort, however over the years the general trend has been that the raw mark number for a band 6 has been increasing across many subjects. Low to mid 80s is usually a band 6 in some subjects so it is not out of the question. However...

do i need to still get a good atar w early acceptance??

It is all dependent on the terms of the early entry. Some universities require you to still get a certain Atar. Anyways now isn't a good time to chill and to be honest it is kind of a waste of a year's worth of work if in the last 2-3 weeks of your HSC you chill, so you should still put in the...

    science hsc past papers

Yes questions from old syllabus are still useful. You just have to be able to sort through and decide which ones old syllabus and which are still useful. A lot of the questions in that document are taken from the old syllabus

Past HSC/Trial Questions by Syllabus Dot Points?

In terms of your other subjects there's not really much cause doing this kind of stuff takes a long time and only someone who finished hsc or is towards the end of it could do it cause you need to know which part each content relates to. Only real place other than the thing mentioned above by a...

Past HSC/Trial Questions by Syllabus Dot Points?

https://boredofstudies.org/threads/physics-hsc-questions-sorted-by-topic-based-on-new-syllabus.388429/ I know you're not doing physics but this is something I made earlier this year which may be useful for other people looking at this thread

    Line of best fit?

If you are told to do that then it's fine but just in a random question 99% of the time it's going to be a normal line of best

    Line of best fit?

Never connect the dots. The whole point of drawing a graph in the sciences is to show a trend between different variables. Therefore if the data: is linear - use a line of best fit if the relationship is not linear - use a curve of best fit

    Atar estimate post trials

Just the main thing I would say is I imagine you are miles ahead of the rest of your cohort in business studies and legal in terms of the marks so don't become complacent leading up to the HSC exams for them. As what can happen is that although you are first and getting high marks now, your...

    Atar estimate post trials

It could be quite varied because based on your business studies and legal studies marks you seem like a strong student in those who may possibly perform higher than what the school usually does for a 1st place in those subjects. Therefore, it depends a bit on how you do in the external exam as...

    TUTORING NOTES GOOD?

Year 12 notes are actually probably less in-depth. Like a lot of the stuff your notes would just end up being examples of certain questions and calculations. I think for year 12 something like flashcards or a document just summarising all the main questions is better than plain notes
  17. jazz519

    TUTORING NOTES GOOD?

It's kind of hard to compare cause the stuff you get asked in Year 12 is different. Year 11 I would say there is a lot of like problem solving in terms of they want you to learn the basics of things and be able to apply it, but there isn't much explain why this happens or occurs. Year 12 chem...

    TUTORING NOTES GOOD?

Like it's fine if your notes are long but you want to also have some shorter version of the document where you don't explain everything from the basics. That way when those things become second nature you can just remove them and leave in the more tricky/important stuff

    TUTORING NOTES GOOD?

Can't really comment sorry cause I've never seen the notes from the tutoring place you go to. But if they are a credible place the stuff they provide is probably good quality. I personally also went to a tutoring centre when I was in HSC (matrix). When I went there I did use their materials in...
