Mac Uni Cafes and The Globe Cafe

Staff Cafe (hint: it's not just for staff) above W5B. Really nice food, usually very quiet, nice outdoor, shady seating.

    Macq 2013

I think i paid like $250 for gym membership a year or so ago...? It includes everything, all machines, pools, classes etc. They tend to have special deals on during o-week where you get large discounts if you sign up with a friend, so it's worth looking into.

Do you have to go to all classes starting Monday 25th?

Just to clarify for the OP, generally lectures run in the first week back, but tutorials do not. That is only generally though, i know all language classes tend to run from the get go. You will be told what's going on in your first lecture for each unit so just make sure you go to those.

Do you have to go to all classes starting Monday 25th?

The first week back at MQ is called o-week and classes also run in that week. That's just the way they do it there.

    Jobs for socially awkward people

I had pretty ridiculous social anxiety when i was younger, meds are a band aid and just make you feel more retarded in the long term. The only way i got over it was forced exposure once i started uni, made myself start doing all the shit i had always avoided, got a retail job, took up...

How does my time table fare?

Just go to the lecture anyway, it's not like anyone will stop you.

    Chances of rearranging timetable?

Quite a bit of class shuffling goes on in the first few weeks of semester, with people not liking their current times or dropping units altogether before the census date. You should be able to re-arrange some classes if you're lucky.

    Chances of rearranging timetable?

Ah, you mean after today? Sure, you can try. At MQ you pick your own timetable, the initial on-campus enrollment session is just for the very first time. Many of the classes have probably filled up by now though.

How does my time table fare?

lol, you guys stress over your timetables so much. Whether it's 'good' or not totally depends on what you're happy with. If you want to only come in for a few jam packed days a week, looks great. If you're concerned about burning out by your afternoon classes, maybe you want to re-think it. I...

How does my time table fare?

Nope, the marks you get are, well, the marks you get. That is unless you get marked on the bell curve, i know that the Arts faculty definitely does not but i can't speak for the others.

    Life after suspension

I agree, wtf. This is how it is at MQ as well. If you're failing 5+ units a year without a very good reason (serious illness, death in the family etc.) you should really be re-considering whether uni is for you, imo.

lol, it's cool, i really don't care I'm glad you managed to map out your degree. I'm really interested to know what your academic adviser had to say about the lack of mention of electives.

    Electives :(

Lol, i don't get these sort of questions - you use your electives on things that interest you and/or complement your main area of study. So... What are you interested in?
