    How to Study Well

I think Talent 100 would be a good website to check these things.

what to do if a mandatory course is full?

You should probably contact the university. It doesn’t make sense that you’re a first year student and you can’t complete your first term units.

    How to Study Well

You need to be well organised, focused and willing to put in effort. If you’re referring to maths, then you need to make sure you have a thorough understanding of all concepts and attempt to complete as many past papers as well as papers from other schools. This will help you as you will be...

Delta English tutoring is very exclusionary

Screw Delta, OP should find a good private tutor. They will most likely have a much more personalised approach and will be much more effective overall.

    What is it like?

The Aspire 5 I have has an Intel i5 (not sure which gen but newer Aspire 5 models surely come with the latest gen Intel processors). I’ve had mine for 3 years now and the processor has been pretty good. I’ve been constantly playing games on mine as well and the i5 along with the graphics card...

    What is it like?

Not sure whether the accounting/finance majors would require any special software, but in business/commerce you mainly write essays/reports. You also have your finals and depending on the subject you may be required to make presentations. It's basically the same software you'd use for your high...

How hard will it be to get 85 atar with these subjects?

It’s not hard. But you will need to study more. I don’t think an hour a day will be enough.

    which subject should i drop??

Depends on what you enjoy more (which one is less crap then the other) / get better marks in and (if applicable) which of these subjects relates to what you want to study after you finish year 12. I would keep business and drop modern.

    Top tier Selective School environment

I would assume that your new school would be much more competitive to say the least. That, however, does not necessarily imply the school will have a toxic environment, but it's still possible. I don't think you should worry too much though, as things will work out for you eventually.

UTS vs MACQ for Software engineering

Not sure how helpful this may be but my cousin studied a degree that dealt with networking and cybersecurity at UTS and graduated a couple of years ago. He found a job right after graduating. I think @BLIT2014 would know quite a bit about Macquarie University.

    UTS 2021?

You should at least get to know your classmates. That would be helpful especially for group projects (if applicable) as it would simplify communication.

Good point. I haven’t used Maths in Focus personally but I haven’t heard great things about it either.
