I reckon the required UAI removes the bottom of the barrel scum, so most people have basic level of common sense, and are therefore less annoying.

going on a blind date usually infers that you are desperate and want a relationship. If 'you' want friends you would go to social events, take up hobbies etc and meet people through there who have common interests.

^^ agreed. After a month of uni, standard of dress decreases to 'i just don't give a shit' level. Yeah i know people who come to uni wearing pyjamas, they live on campus - so no big deal

tbh its really stupid of them not to reply to say that they have even recieved it. I really wish they improved the application process.

I think some people miss the routine of seeing friends on a daily basis. I however, live on campus so it doesn't make a difference. Also my old school was full of douchebags, so i don't miss that place at all.
