And I'm saying that a ectotherm could also have a lower body temp than the cage, thus making its definition ambiguous.

The thing is, an ectotherm couldn't possibly raise it's temperature above that of the cage's temperature (where would the heat come from?), so it's almost guarenteed to be just below the temperature of the cage. So therefore C = incorrect. If my hypothesis is right lol.
