    The Woolworths Thread

:/ People don't even add their resumes? Jeez. I ended up adding a cover letter just for the sake of it, I guess like wixxy said even if it's never looked at it can't hurt. God I hope I get an interview, I've been applying for places for aaages. I've asked around in the store and heard that...

    The Woolworths Thread

Quick question: when applying for an advertised position through the online thing, should I bother attaching a cover letter in addition to my resume? Will it even get read?

i have been fired by coles for theft, will there be any records??

Love how idiots like you waltz into a group interview within weeks of being fired for theft while my applications are probably never even read. Your mistake, deal with it. Unless you're a troll, which you likely are. In which case piss off.

    Movies about belonging

If you can't find a convincing case for belonging in Billy Elliot, you're screwed. That movie oozes issues of belonging. But like Cinnamonster said, it's on the prescribed text list for Standard so it'd be best to steer clear of it anyway.

ARTS1000 eSearch to Research Library Skills

Aaaah so long and boring, it felt like such a waste of time when I have so much other proper reading to do.

    Too tired of travel

This. As if UWS can (generally) compare to USyd. I live about a 45 minute drive from UOW but public transport to there is almost an impossible bitch from where I live. It's irregular and would probably take me as long as it does to get to USyd. I also live about 40 minutes from UWS Campbelltown...

    Train / ticket question

Lol if anyone actually thought I'd try to get the CityRail staff to write me a letter. I'm not a crazy person. Sarcasm doesn't work well online. But yeah, a weekly city ticket is only a dollar more than the Redfern one so I just got that since I'll end up saving more that way.

    Train / ticket question

Lmao, thanks for the advice. I'll have one of the staff whip up a letter for me tomorrow morning pronto which I will proceed to wave at anyone who says I'm getting off at the wrong station. Thanks for the help everyone.

What do YOU think about media reporting on drugs?

I think I'm obliged not to do your survey because it's affiliated with UNSW and I go to USyd. :uhoh: Nah, I'll do it... Tomorrow, I promise.

    Atheism - Discussion thread

How embarrassing. I'm sorry, obviously the ghosts from Ghostbusters are an isolated case and do not impinge on my definition of what it means for me to be an Atheist. Of course I believe those ones exist.

    Atheism - Discussion thread

I define myself as an atheist, and I define my beliefs as follows. I don't believe in a 'God' / gods, or anything supernatural. To date I have not been swayed by any arguments put forth as to why I SHOULD believe what is said in the bible. If I criticise anything within the bible, I don't do so...

Faking Your 120 log book hours

We can only hope that the faked records in your logbook are more coherent than your posts here, then. Go away troll. :hammer:

    Train / ticket question

If I get a weekly ticket to the city (not Redfern), would I still be able to use this to get in/out at the Redfern ticket gates? I come from Campbelltown way so Redfern is (sometimes) a station between my origin and the city if that helps - depending on whether the particular train goes via...

    beachball

I think the same guy tried that tact with me. God, there were so many of them. Ended up either walking past them avoiding eye contact or taking a flyer just to shut them up. Conclusion: USyd needs more recycle bins.

    Atheism - Discussion thread

Lol at people who jump to the conclusion that Atheists arguing against Christianity are "in doubt" about their beliefs. A typically Christian thing to do IMO - to assume that everyone actually believes in this supernatural "god" nonsense and is deliberately pushing it away. We're not here...

    Anyone here a Mac user?

Good old Apple and their dirty pricing tricks. But yeah I got a refurbished iPod classic a year or so ago and have never had a problem with it, saved a fair bit as well and it obviously still came with the warranty since I bought it at the Apple store online... Probably wouldn't buy another...
