Really? Hmm. I've always just thought they "hold" a lot better? (a bit like the difference between a Cue jacket and one bought from Target or something - sure they might be cut to fit the same size person but one nips in all the right places, you know?)

    The MQ Get Healthy/Study Thread

Re: The MQ weightloss/marks gain Support Thread! CONGRATULATIONS HOPEFUL! :D :D Man, I still haven't lost anything :( I know why this is, but haven't been able to bring myself yet to exercise more, or even *think* about touching that treadmill :p heh heh heh Today's story: I've totally...

Oooh! I have a bra that looks a lot like that and is from Elle Macpherson. It's also baby pink ;) It's got tiny little circles embroided to form the lace, yes?

    Your bra-style

I've never worn a padded or push-up bra. I do often wear the ones with a little padding though - you know, like a T-shirt bra/moulded cup. I LOVE the better-quality bras that have that extra bit of boning on the side (under the arm), eg Love Kylie/Fine Lines/Elle Macpherson, because it fits sooo...

AOS Essay. Is it bad to go text by text?

^ It's a lot more about knowing your texts, to the point where you can focus less on which quote is said from who and in which chapter (all those tedious details) and focus more on your argument. Through a lot of practice-essays, you can develop a stronger grasp of what your content is and...

    The MQ Get Healthy/Study Thread

Re: The MQ weightloss/marks gain Support Thread! Hmm I was actually taught the same as redrum. Theory behind this goes that the body will only start using the fat stores in the body if it has gone through most of the existing energy sources (glycogen et all). If you keep snacking towards the...

    Oh dear...:(

All this aside, have you considered repeating the course? Quite a number of BCA people I know have had to repeat one of our harder core units (ARTS105) because they failed. So, they just did it again, tried harder, and passed :) If repeating courses is not an option in this situation...

Elle Macpherson (but OMG Pleasure State has some AWESOME stuff, I also have some Love Kylie and Lovable), anything that isn't stupid, refer to previous comment. For me, it's a lot more about the cut and materials used. Most commercial lingerie brands that gear towards the 20-40 age bracket...

    losing weight?

Yup. Muscle to my knowledge weighs significantly more than body fat does. :) A similar reverse is also possible if you loose muscle (eg me in holidaytime realising that "HEY! I lost a kilo in under a week! Oh boo hoo, it's probably muscle loss :( Now I have to work hard to gain it back again...")

"it's not procrastinating because it's the HOLIDAYS!"

Yeah, I used to have to get up at 6:30am every uni morning last semester :( I used to have to get up at 5:20am a couple of mornings each week the semester before that, for work :S (early morning dance rehearsals on Pier 4 + public transport = ouch) And I work as a dance teacher in Hornsby :)

AOS Essay. Is it bad to go text by text?

Hmm I must disagree... I did my HSC in 2004 and thus don't have the marking band criteria at hand, but I'm pretty sure that Band 6 requires you to express your opinions in an effective and sophisticated manner. As mentioned earlier, integrated essays save repeating yourself, not to mention...

AOS Essay. Is it bad to go text by text?

Text-by-text (aka "chunk style") isn't really as effective or "sophisticated" as a more integrated essay which goes by argument points. It's not impossible to get a band 5 or low 6 by writing in chunk style but if you have the ability to write an integrated essay, do it (and if you do EE1 or are...

"it's not procrastinating because it's the HOLIDAYS!"

Work started today. Can't decide whether it's a good thing or not - I do love my job (mostly, anyway) but it co-incides with me now having to wake up at 7:30am to send my brother off to school, so :( *watches her Pacific Time gaming bodyclock fly out the window* :(

    Subject Matter for Creative Writing

I'm pretty sure they're lax about "controversial topics". I've heard a large number of HSC markers say "Please just write a good story! And if you can make it entertaining - whilst still insightful of course - even better! Please remember we are going through thousands of these things!"

    Should I buy.....

PUT IT ON HOLD!!! Then make up your mind :) Personally I think if you really love it and it'll go with your existing wardrobe, go for it. But layby or put it on hold asap before someone else nabs it!
