    How Hard Is University?

I know that USYD uses the bell-curve to grade students, but i'm not sure about UNCLE.

    Postgrad Amibitions?

Not really hey. Lecturers get probably around the 80 - 100k mark, as course-co-ordinators at assoc. prof level. A Prof. you could probably add another 40 - 50k on top, but it's a long road to get there. Meh, maybe the opportunities to earn circa 200k+ in finance/business fields has corrupted...

    Postgrad Amibitions?

Is anyone seriously considering Post Grad? Not necessarily with UNCLE, but just in general. If so, what's the reasoning behind it; interest or career opportunities? I'll probably look at it in the future, although given the nature of what I want to get into, other than moving into executive...

    Fannys is for tryhards

You needed to place less bias within the thread title man. Guarantee you, there wouldn't have been anywhere near the perceived neativity towards your thread if you took a more careful approach to how you presented your opinion. Guaranteed.

    Fannys is for tryhards

Oh man, you got my sense o huma! Actually, come to think of it, i'm 90% sure that there is already a thread created about what people dont like at Newcastle Uni back in the past. So, you're not the first to have negativity dude, and you wont be the last.

    Fannys is for tryhards

I don't understand this forums zeitgeist. You all hate the nightlife in Newcastle. Not true. It's not the nightlife in Newcastle I hate, it's certain aspects of it. Nightlife includes heading to the pub for a few quite ones in a dark corner of the pub with some mates, talking about life. I...

Ok so here it is: Woy Woy - Hamilton: Approx 90 minutes [Express Train] (usually 10 - 15 minute waiting time at platform) Hamilton - Uni Station: 10 minutes (usually 15 - 20 minute walk from station to Shortland side) First leg of travel total: 130 minutes Total travel time: 130 x 2 = 160...

Need quick help with a drug survey

It is interesting to see the huge divide in information and evidence supporting pro-use and opposing anti-use interests on the internet. For instance, the pro-use guys in the other thread implying that ecstasy provides medical benefits, whilst simply reading over wiki will state there is more...

Need quick help with a drug survey

Dude, what you're doing doesn't exactly work. A surveys purpose it to gauge opinions. Doesn't particularly mean it's correct, but given it's a survey, there are no right and wrong answers here.

"Uni Grades are completely irrelevant to employers"

It matters if you want it to. I'd steer clear of doing finance/stats/degree related electives, and instead take languages, history and psychology etc electives. If it's not going to be a directly related elective to the job you're hoping to score, they wont care about the fact you were stupid...

"Uni Grades are completely irrelevant to employers"

I think anyone that suggests preference towards either though the ultimate answer is black and white would be foolish. Like I said, I think of it as more of a spectrum based on individual employers and probably more specifically, company culture. In saying that, if I don't finish with...
