    Best things about exam period!!

Haha I'll probably rock up in my pyjama top. It's a fuzzy jumper thing from Just Jeans, made out of that fuzzy wool stuff. So the end result is that I just look and feel like a teddy bear :p

    Speech Giving

moved to main EE1 forum. Coming from a performing arts background I rarely have issues with presentations, however I still choke up a bit before singing solo in public (which is relatable to speeches). My best and only piece of advice I'm going to give (because I'm of the opinion that...

    Study guide!

They're good for quick refreshes though, and quotes-at-a-glance. I had almost totally forgotten one of the Eng Adv texts coming up to the HSC trials - a quick phonecall to a friend/quick breeze through her studyguide made everything good again within the space of five minutes :D olegna -...

PC --> Mac user transition issues?

uh oh. MS word is probably the thing I'm going to be using the most of. Is the mac equivalent this "office" thing y'all are talking about?

PC --> Mac user transition issues?

Thanks for all the advice guys and gals! Let's count. I was in Yr 8, so... maybe about 6 years? Scared for life and all that jazz, have been running away from macs ever since :p Already addicted. Trust me ;) Mmm. Since all my music is on this computer, it'll probably still be my main...

    America's Next Top Model - Cycle 6

HAHAHAHA! In other news, another girl bites the dust. I want to know what the judges were laughing at that wasn't shown... did she give them the finger or something? lol Suprised it wasn't Sarah though. And I still really want Joanie to win!!

    Study guide!

I put in a couple of very good day's study sans a study guide and got 89 :uhhuh: However I'm happy with that... I was expecting 63!!!!!!! (in-school assessments always came back with a mark under 70, so I wasn't expecting too much... lol)

    Best things about exam period!!

And cold. Hello, it's winter! :p MJ's suggestion of pyjamas is good, though. I think I wore trackpants to one exam last year (I NEVER wear trackpants out of the house unless I am going directly to work), because I'd been studying in them for the last 24 hours, and was so comfortable in...

    Best things about exam period!!

hahaha For both my HSC and this year's round of exams, I'm taking an effort to maintain my appearance under the theory that it's my "break" from study (for some reason I always feel more motivated when I'm a bit dolled up, don't know why? Maybe it's a performance thing). So I bought that Dove...

    OH NO my calculator DIED!!!!

I still have my scientific calculator. And it still works. *pats possessively* (not that I use it much, but the "under the sea" stickers that are on it are really, really cute)

    Dyeing clothes

Easiest thing to do is just to trace the individual pattern pieces (make sure you include seam allowance!!!). Particularly with vintage clothes, some of the seams can be 'tricky' or be slightly worn so if you pick it apart, no guarentees you'll be able to put it back together...! lol

    Go to Disneyland!

The former. Even if a child can see a human head (paticularly if they can hear it talking, this is why I asked my friend to take the head off so the notion that it was just a human in a costume could be re-inforced), they can associate it with human-ness and thus won't be scared of it as much...

PC --> Mac user transition issues?

might be. I'm just calling it by the name I heard it described as. Anyway. It's a laptop :D But a mac. Hmmm

PC --> Mac user transition issues?

The general gist of things is that I'm about to get a free laptop as a gift :D Free setup and everything :D The secondary gist of things is that it's a Notebook, and I'm really only proficient at using a PC (when I say proficient, I really mean only proficient - I'm basically computer...

    Go to Disneyland!

I've been a Wandering Character (read: Lynn finding an excuse to dress up as a fairy princess) for the Teddy Bear's Picnic before. It's cool! However, my friend was in the REAL full-body suit. They can only stay in there for max 20mins because it's too hot otherwise (even if there is a fan...

    Opinions sass and bide

whoo I think I just finished my ARTS essay :D A little confused with an "invisible" footnote (why the hell did my footnotes start with "2"?!?!) and how to cite Websites, but other than that all is cool... I'm drive up to uni in 20mins so I can drive back in traffic that isn't ridiculous...

    The MQ Get Healthy/Study Thread

I've written approximately half my ARTS210 intro. Of the 2500 wordcount I have written 1170 words or so of crap. Due tomorrow and currently procrastinating. Looking good, eh?
