So I just realised that I enrolled for Computer Engineering instead of Computer Science..
Is there still a way I can change after missing the main round offers.
I don't want to study full-time because I'd much rather do part-time study + a little bit of work on the side.
Thank you...
What's the structure for anionic detergent head, some of my notes say its O-SO2-O- but others say its SO3-? There is a benzene ring before the sulfonate group in each case.
Also unsure about structure of non-ionic detergents.
How would you describe the structure of non-ionic in an exam?
When bonds are broken do they release energy..
Or is energy released when bonds are made...
Or does this depend on the nature of the reaction, either endothermic or exothermic.
I'm confused. >.<
Which ones are best to use for HSC:
SO2 contributing to acid rain:
SO2 (g) + H2O (l) -> H2SO3 (aq)
2H2SO3 (aq) + O2 (g) -(catalyst above arrow)> 2H2SO4 (aq)
OR
2SO2 (g) + O2 (g) -> 2SO3 (g)
SO3 (g) + H2O (l) <-> H2SO4 (aq)
Which set is better if I don't want to write 4...
What's the equations?
Since bromine water can be written as Br2 or BrOH, which one do we use?
and when it decolourises, e.g. with hexene, is it:
C6H12(l) + Br2(aq) --> C6H12Br2(aq)
What is the equation with BrOH, since I only learnt the Br2 one.
What did everyone get in multiple choice?
I got
1. A
2. B
3. B
4. A
5. D
6. A
7. B
8. C
9. A
10. D

13. D
14. C
15. A
16. C
17. D
18. B
19. C
20. A
I notice that in some of the sample answers of past exams, for questions like "Hence show the maximum area is ... cm^2", the sample answers include an area where the person actually tests that it is a max, by testing 1 up and 1 down.
Is that test actually necessary? Because I have never gotten...
How do you do this question? From HSC 2006 Question 12
I ended up with the answer B using the following working out however the answer is A:
Inflation Rate = 125-110/110 = 13.6%
Real GDP = Nominal (820) / 1.136 = 721.6
My working out ignores the second part "compared to the base year" as...
I always get confused with these. Can someone name all the IUPAC/Systematic/Common names we should know for plastics and acids
Don't explain how to name hydrocarbons, i just need the chloroethane? chloroethene? idk PVC thingo and muriatic acid, formic and stuff.
Thanks a lot.
