Wow! Usually kids in my year do the exact same subjects as each other (for Prelim): in this case the so-called "Suicide Five" has been gaining traction: Phys, Chem, Bio, Maths Ext 1, Eng Ext 1. It's great to hear that you have someone who is doing the same subjects as you!

Seeking any possible advice on feeling overwhelmed for the HSC already haha :)

First of all, calm down. There is still time. One thing I've found from this forum are that people tend to freak out too early and go into a panic mode rather than focusing on "Hey, what can I do to make this year less stressful?". There are study tips on the forum (Guides --> Study Tips) so go...

Ok ok calm down. There is still time. How do you improve at anything? Well, first you need to understand the material. Whether through external websites (such as Khan Academy), or through tuition, it is essential you understand content to do well. I'm also doing chemistry and I'm not finding it...

Yeah, it just depends on what school you go to. SDD's a great subject from everyone who is doing it, it's just a pity some people didn't make it because the benchmark or because of timetabling issues.

    TurnItIn Check before submitting.

Not that I’m aware of, no. They probably just use an online plagiarism checker so maybe you could try that?

My guess is they assume those who are good at maths are good at SDD. Which is completely illogical and may be keeping the high performing SDD kids out. maybe that’s why sbhs is dropping...

True yes. SBHS has certain requirements you need to tick in order to do SDD (high Maths scores, etc.) other schools may be the same.

Bunny girl senpai’s concept was orignal and engaging. But it was poorly executed and really, not a good anime. Indeed, let’s do our best during those years! Valuable skills in life can be gained! If I may, which school do you go to now? Which state didn’t you move from because I have no idea...

Everyone makes scaling the the biggest thing in the world and your life going to be over if you take low scaling subjects. This is perhaps one of the biggest myths in the HSC. Scaling will not help you if you struggle with your subjects, so generally take subjects that you like and are good at...

Is it recommended to do 12 units with a language in Yr 12

"High-risk, high-reward" is a term that gets thrown about here and there without really any meaning or purpose. Generally, the two rules with any subjects are: If you work hard (or rather, hard and smart), you will do well. If you like a subject, you'll usually do well in it (unless of course...

Is it recommended to do 12 units with a language in Yr 12

What subjects exactly are you doing now, and what subjects are you planning to do? Any sciences, histories, arts, etc.? This will be important as 12 units can been quite a heavy workload for some - not all- people.
