It's just the name of the inequality that was proved in part i). If you chose to take extension 2 in yr 12, you will see and use it alot more.

If you tried any other combination other than 54x and \frac{24}{x} u would get a negative inside the square root, making things alot more complicated. You can also see that the x's in 54x and \frac{24}{x} will cancel each other out, if you use the AM/GM inequality.

How important is English to your ATAR? I am aiming for a 90+ ATAR but I am not confident in English. I do very well in other subjects (accelerated extension 1 maths, physics, chemistry) and I was just wondering if this goal is achievable with a mediocre mark (75-85) in English.
