    Med Sci - Medicine

I don't think so. I think once you start a new degree they only take the GPA from that. Call the universities anonymously if you want to doublecheck.

    Med Sci - Medicine

start another degree. make it one you're interested in and have some chance at doing well in. if it includes some basic 1st yr sciencey stuff, that's great. forensics at uws sounds like a good idea. then every single year apply to undergrad med. once u finish ur degree keep applying to...

    Hungry Jack's Interview

don't tell them anything. then when yr 11 starts give them an ultinatum- no more than 1 close and another 2 shifts per week, or i quit. in yr 12 quit regardless. they're a multinational company that makes money off of australia's growing obesity crisis. you don't owe them anything, and...

has anyone received interview letters yet?

There's like a $5000 reward for dobbing in people who post copyrighted prep course material. See that prep course companies are scary now Bacilli? It's a bit different when the big bad lawyers are talking to you personally, isn't it? Kind of inclines you not to mess with them? A better idea...

    Medical Science Students!

1st yr uni science subjects r about as difficult as yr 12 it's just that they have so much more work and u do it in such a shorter time. u will struggle a bit without taking it in yr 12, but with a tutor and dedicated study u can kick butt. uni is more relaxed than yr 12 in general, so if u do...

has anyone received interview letters yet?

(Bacilli's pissed with MSO because he wasn't allowed to do what he wanted to- even though he agreed to MSO terms of service when he signed up). BTW Bac, there's nothing stopping someone getting another BOS account and uploading your stuff ;). If it's copyrighted material from prep course...

    James Cook Universit

if u have other factors they're looking for, they'll lower the UAI you need a little. a rural indigenous person from rural qld got in with 94 or something... i think they lower the interstate cutoffs if the person is rural and/or indigenous as well.

    medicine unis

Gosford, the UNE course is similar to the UNCLE course (which is excellent IMO :))... it's just REALLY far away (about 5 hrs from Newc, which is 2-3 hrs from Sydney). Med is worth the sacrifice though :) UNSW, UWS, UNCLE/UNE, UTAS and JCU require direct applications (some of them should...

    UNSW Medicine Interviews

    lol. clinical experience helps but isn't a necessity. think about times u've bn around hospitals/drs/sick ppl/etc. and how this has affected u/made u empathetic/made u want 2 b a dr/etc.

    So unsw doesn't love you?

Newcastle's a great course, they were the first to implement PBL and self-directed learning in undergrad med schools- now they're all doing it :) Sydneysiders are just Sydney-centric so you might not have heard much about other NSW unis yet :P

    UNSW Medicine Interviews

here were the requirements for an interview last yr: http://www.med.unsw.edu.au/medweb.nsf/page/Latest_News#local So you can look at your predicted UAI and get a ROUGH idea of what you umat is below this year. It will have changed for this year Say you got a 98 predicted, it means your UMAT...

    PostGrad Med

you can also do at least 1 yr of uni and apply to undergraduate med schools as a "non-standard applicant". they use your GPA. (apart from UNSW which uses your UAI for 50% of the academic rank, and UTas which uses your UAI if you've done less than 1.5 years of uni)
