    Post Your UAI's Here

I got 99.85 and SAM said I would get 99.80 so I think its pretty accurate - I am so happy with my UAI - but I feel a little guilty that I will only be doing a course that needs a UAI of 83 (Ancient History at Macquarie).

    legal studies

I thought this was a great exam, except for a few multiple choice which were disputable and ambiguous. Crime was the easiest its ever been, family i think went well, and world order was the best - Q25 B - i chose - and i remembered so much. Good luck everyone - I'VE FINISHED MY HSC -...

    Multiple Choice

Sorry but you must have read the question wrongly - the Magna Carta is not A TREATY which enshrines human rights - it was a constitutional document - a treaty is signed by more than just groups in a country (i.e. king and nobles) it is between two or more countries!

    Multiple Choice

Hey my answers were similar to yours - however i have some queries: 9) I put c however our teachers pointed out that all young people are entitled to legal aid in criminal circumstances - but i would say that it can't be D because it does not define the age of "young people" are they over or...

    Elizabethan's galore.

sorry if i attacked you - but how do you go into depth with so many perspectives - i thought they want you to show detailed knowledge of the evidence used by historians to create their perspective.

    Thoughts on the exam

thanks for clarifying that - i'm glad that someone only put the historians' name.

    Elizabethan's galore.

I said - in response to tessery - that contexts change and therefore influence historians to challenge old interpretations formed in different contexts.

    Thoughts on the exam

You should be mentioning at least what type of historian Munslow is and comparing his view of the role of the historian with other historians - that's the whole reason why they give us a source, because when you refer to the issues he raises you must refer to WHY he does - which relates to his...

    Elizabethan's galore.

Hey it sounds like you went all over the place - aren't you meant to focus on some areas and i wouldn't have done the film Elizabeth because Kapur is not a historian. If you did do all those areas of debate did you: 1) link them to the question, and 2) write enough?? How much did you write??

    Elizabethan's galore.

Hi, i found your thread. You know what i did, which historians did you do. I would have to say that from the perspective of religious policy i could hardly find any debate or "challenging accepted interpretations" - so who did you use? Most likely Christopher Haigh???

    Thoughts on the exam

A good exam - at least i thought so until i came home. I thought historiography was a good source, i'm sure Munslow must be a post-modernist, correct me if i'm wrong - i hope not - i wrote on John Vincent, Windschuttle, Carr and Hayden White. I thought the question was more specific than...

    Genre

You did V for Vendetta - so did I - but for Revenge Tragedy - who could have asked for an easier question, i just hope there was no secret trick to it - anyways my creative was good - a mixture of psychological interviews, narrative and bits of intertextual references. Essay = 16 pages exact...

    General Thoughts - Ancient History

Hello - your teachers must be devoid of learning - what happened???? Our teachers said you should always write more than the provided space, because although they say you can get full marks by writing in the provided space, they usually only have a few who can cram it in the space >> you should...

    Section IV - Historical Period

Re: Section IV - Historical Periods I did Tiberius aswell...i think the important thing was to take a line of argument and present historiographical perspective (i used over 30 quotes in my essay) >> i mainly talked about everything >> failures and achievements. Basically covered senate...

    General Thoughts - Ancient History

This has got to be one of the best ancient history exams so far - by far easier than the trial. I did the following: Pompeii & Herc >> so easy - wrote the space given + 3 pages for Q2 and + 5 pages for Q3(PS: i went on a trip to Italy for Ancient History this year!) Sparta >> pretty easy...
