Hi everyone, I'm starting a B Arts/ B Art Theory at UNSW next year - trying to cover a broad range of areas because I'm not entirely sure what I want to do with myself yet, or atleast whether or not what I want to do is acheivable. I've been thinking about then doing a Diploma of Education...

I'm not planning on becoming a teacher. Lately I've been looking into what areas arts graduates generally end up in and teaching kept coming up so I was just looking for more information. Thanks for your help.

So should I be worried if I don't know yet what I'm going to major in? Or do you not have to decide until 2nd year?

Oh ok. If you're doing a combined degree, do you have one major in each area? If that makes sense...:S

I've read in other threads that BArts students often later become teachers. Can anyone tell how this works? Is it a change of majors witin the BArts, a change to a BEducation, or an extra degree completed after the BArts? What exactly is DipEd? Sorry to sound completely clueless. Thanks, Casey

With my one we have to find a topic - any topic as long as it relates to the study of biology (not necessarily the syllabus), we don't have to have studied it in class - then we have to create hypothesis, research it, perform experiments, present data, etc. etc. I just can't think of anything...

Calming tea sounds good. A warm drink without caffeine before bed always makes me feel sleepy (I like hot chocolate :P). If it keeps up, better to check with you're doctor than let it affect your school work. If nothing else, he/she might be able to prescribe something to help you sleep. Hope...

I've never understood the reason why your marks are affected by others in the class - say if you're dragged down because the rest of the class doesn't put in as much work. It doesn't seem fair. Does anyone else feel that?
