I don't get the honour roll
One of my friends got 99/100 for Visual Arts, had an assessment mark of 99/100 and didn't get on the honour roll...How does that work?? and why were 9 other people (Besides the persons who came first) get preference over my friend??

The honour roll is for students who gained a HSC mark of 90 or higher in a subject. Did your friend get a HSC mark of 99 for Visual Arts, because the honour roll is not based on their assessment mark that you mentioned?

I don't know what the top 10 people achieved as their HSC mark, but 99 sounds as if it should be up there.

So your friend's name wasn't published in the newspaper? Are you certain that was the mark achieved? If so, s/he's missed out on quite a bit of limelight.

10 people. It is based on it to 1dp.

It is possible your friend got 98.5 in it. While the top 10 got between 100 and 98.6

That would make sense Xayma... but not getting into the Honour Roll? I just can't explain that.

No that is the high (or top) achievers list.

I think Cj_K confused the Honour Roll (Distinguished Achiever's List) with the Top Achievers List.

Xayma's answer is the most appropriate one.
