Hey, I'm kind of late but I'm doing the exact same subjects as you. Wow, I haven't heard of anyone else who is currently doing the same combination of subjects as this.
Wow! Usually kids in my year do the exact same subjects as each other (for Prelim): in this case the so-called "Suicide Five" has been gaining traction: Phys, Chem, Bio, Maths Ext 1, Eng Ext 1. It's great to hear that you have someone who is doing the same subjects as you!

Has anybody just moved schools in year 11? haha, so stressful especially moving to a selective school
sysabelle has moved schools in year 11, so I think you can talk to her. But do you need any tips on surviving selective schools? SBHS here.

For Year 11, I'm doing 3U Maths, Adv Eng, Phys, Chem, Eco and Engineering Studies. I wanted to get a perspective on what others think I should drop (13 Units probs going to be too hard)

Hi! I'm doing Ext 1 Math, Ext 1 English, Economics, Physics, Chemistry.

I like Economics, Physics and Maths, but Chemistry is eating me up at the moment.. so much memorizing haha, and Year 11 isn't all too bad as I thought it out to be. How are you all doing for Year 11?

Hey! I'm in Year 11 this year, currently taking the following subjects;
  • Adv English
  • Adv Mathematics
  • Physics
  • Chemistry
  • Geography
  • Design and Technology (Accelerated)
Coping quite well with every subject except Chemistry. Any tips/guides to understand the fundamentals more?
Cheers, kooprbsn.

I'm in the same boat with you on Chemistry haha. Personally I think trying to find example questions on the more mathematical concepts or lewis dot structures etc. could help. In terms of theory, maybe try textbooks such as Chem in Focus or Surfing Chem? Unfortunately they aren't easy to obtain so if you can't access a textbook, I think it just comes down to using the internet and your teachers to clarify info you don't get.

Guys,
How does everyone study/practice for maths?
Like how many questions from each exercise. How many hours per exercise? Do you guys do Foundation, Development and Challenge/Enrichment questions? If so, how many of each?

Cheers

I'm finding online learning really difficult. Our school doesn't use zoom, just puts up all the work and 'there, teach yourself'
