Just enquiring into the Law degree mainly, does anybody have a fair prediction what the UAI cutt-off for law will be for next year's admission? Will it be a massive jump or will it be steady?

Cheers

Educational Access Scheme,

You receieve extra UAI points if you can prove you were disadvantaged.

What law course, I want to do Law/Social Science (Criminology)?

U Get a cut off of 5 points.. but then it depends on the demand for the course.... a lot of ppl get like 88 or 89 for a 90 course and they still wont make it cos 90+ students apply and take up the places... but some uni's(not sure about UWS) actually sets places aside for EAS ppl..

but 3/4 of the state have some problem or disadvantage... so u compete amongst the other EAS ppl

You are right about that, I looked into it, it can be very rewarding if you apply for the right course and you have the right amount of marks, but many people apply for it and many universities (in fact i think almost all) set aside places for EAS.

If you do miss out on the law degree say by 2 , 3 marks
How would you know if the course is full with 90+ ppl ?
Worth changing to 1st preference post UAI ?
Or settle with something else ?
