Hey everyone,

I came to Australia in year 9 but I lived here until year 4. (year 1-4 i lived in aus, 5-8 overseas, then 9-11 in Australia again)
In my upcoming subject selection am I eligible for ESL as a subject? I have read through the criteria but by 'five years prior' I wasn't sure whether it meant five consecutive years or interrupted years like mine.

I am choosing between advanced and ESL English- I am aiming for a high band 6 in both.
For prelims I did adv with no issues but I don't think I will get a high band 6 (low band 6 with some luck). But with ESL I think I have a shot.
Any opinions are welcome! I haven't officially chosen yet so any advice I will gratefully accept.
Thanks guys :)

I personally would not think you would be eligible, but maybe check with your schools EAL/D teacher.

What other languages (s?) do you speak? Which country/countries did you live in?
