Does anyone know how to play bass guitar? if so, do you find it easier to use a pick or strum?

i play a bit of bass... just got a bass guitar a few weeks ago. and i mostly use fingers.. much faster.

Depends on how fast the song is im playing, or what I find easier for the song im playing.
I tend to switch between pick and fingers.

Cool. Cause i got a bass for christmas last year, and i don't really know how to play it. I've been learning with a pick but i find it a little easier with fingers.

Generally I go with fingering, but picking is good also because it gets a different sound which can come in handy.

yeh apparently you get a sharper sound with a pick... but with my dodgy amp, i can't really tell the difference.

Yeah, I generally use fingers because its easier but the sound you get from picking is much better, more precise and clean
