How serious is MQ about the whole 'withholding access to academic results' etc due to library fines? Because I've got some fines that have been outstanding for a while...:/

Take it from someone who works there, they're serious.

Oh poopchute. Will paying part of it do anything as far as result releasedness? Or does it have to be the whole thing on the double or I get an auto F come 18th of July?

Yeah, this is the first year they're introducing it.

Your outstanding balance has to be clear...so ALL of it.

I still can't use those auto-borrowing machines properly lol... they're so weird!!

However I notice a large number of other people can't use them either ;) so hurrah!

i have unintentionally tried to steal a book from there THREE times! the exit bit starts beeping and the gate locks and then you slam into the gate as you expect to push it open and then the lady looks at you like you're a criminal (or maybe with an 'oh, not again' expression)

i'm getting better at it but they're so akward to use, especially if you're borrowing a large number of books
