these are y11 ranks so they literally count for nothing in your atar. the ranks are reasonably strong but your school seems to not perform too well. if you want a 99.5, you'll definitely need to aim higher in your ranks though.

so, given ur current ranks and school b6, it doesnt *look* like a 99.5 setup. this can change drastically throughout the y12 tho, dont worry.

kudos for going thru y11 with those heavy subjects, but going to 10 units will, in my opinion, allow u to perform better overall. i think you can definitely improve. u got this!

hm. your ranks are honestly decent. but i think, if your school is ranked relatively low, you need to be aiming for AT LEAST top 5 in every subject, ideally top 3, to be anywhere near the high-90s for an atar.
i think you can do with with lots of hard work and focus. the biggest thing i learned in year 12 was to drop subjects that i was just bad at, just get rid of the dead weight.

do you think if i get rank 1st but bad marks this will still affect me? i mean the person that is first in chemistry got an 83%

im aiming to do optometry at unsw which requires a 99.5 atar; do you think my marks are suitable for gateway? it will reduce my atar to a 92 which i think is more achievable than a 99.5 (our 2024 dux atar was 97.5)

tbh i dont know much about gateway, but i do think 92 is more realistic. but im being serious, if you put in the effort, the high 90s are def possible
