ARTS100 - death to multiple choice (1 Viewer)

yet another procrastination/ranty/whiny thread
who here has to do the ARTS100 exam and what do you think about the multiple choice component?
Most people love multiple choice, as it is easy to piack the answer ie two obvioulsy wrong, and two that could be right, but one stands out ie

Which of the following is a colour:
A. Samsung
B. Dark
C. Gershwin
D. Blue

but the arts exam has everythign looking right - and terribly specific in relation to the readings - maybe I am over reacting and it really isn't that bad, but still - AHHHH! lol

I loved this exam. It's the only one I've ever done where I wanted it to be longer, so I could talk more about my precious dance *sheepish look*

There's only a handful of multiple-choice questions, provided guy wrote the paper they'll all be pretty easy (however the 2004 paper was really yucky). Most people focus on the extended responses, so if worse comes to worse know that most people don't give a damn about the multiple choice section

multi choice questions at uni are more like this

Which of the following is a colour:
A. Samsung
B. Dark
C. Black
D. Blue
E. Both C and D

A obviously wrong, B also obviously wrong but at least related. C could be right, could be wrong. D is right so I get prepared to choose D but then they have to throw in E and I don't know anymore! I hate it because you still have a big chance of choosing the wrong answer, even though you learnt your work.

yeah - technically black is a colour, but it could also be defined as the absence of colour - too many perspectives spoil the exam (that sounds like a proverb -_-)

oh well - hope for the best and aim to do well in short answer i guess is the way to go
