Bachelor of Commerce (Liberal Studies) award course rules:

A total of 192 credit points
1 compulsory junior unit of study
2 award course majors
At least 24 credit points from the Faculty of Arts or Discipline of Government and International Relations
At least 12 credit points from the Faculty of Science
No more than 96 junior credit points
At least 132 credit points from the Faculty of Economics and Business.

The Discipline of Government and International Relations sounds interesting and id definately prefer it to any arts subjects, but why do i need to seek permission from the faculty to do this course as it says in the handbook? Im a little confused.

Well i think my case might be different to yours. I want to do Govt and international relations as my 3rd major along with commercial law and accounting because i dont want to do arts subjects...

Im going to email them or just discuss it with someone during o-week.

i dunno if i'll do govt as a major, i havent decided.... we dont have to decide til next yr i think, just try and do all the pre req units. but i'll def. do marketing and ind. relations as my majors if it all works out. i like that we can do bits and pieces though, random arts/govt subjects etc. it gives us so much more variety ... at uts ALL my subjects were pre-chosen for the whole degree cept about 5 electives in later yrs... it sucked.

save it til later then. cos for me, i figure, i will be much better equipped to do later on in the degree when im more settled down and also more used to university work in general. i know now cos f my experiences last year that its little stuff like that, one subject that you cant stand , that makes you just want to drop out. so i'm leaving it til later cos i'll be way more ready for it and i wotn drop out cos i hate science if im in my third year... whereas i would if im in my first semester 1st year :) thats just how it is for me tho. ask Toodulu about it if you need more advice, shes 2nd yr Commerce Lib Studies and i think shes saving it til later as well. depends what yr like though, you might like to get it over with quickly
