Hello,

I've realised that I have lost my passion for physics.. And I want to study Ancient History instead
1/ Is this detrimental to my HSC considering that It is 1 term into the HSC already
2/ How much HSC Ancient History content have I missed and is the Preliminary Course contents relevant in the HSC course (I.e dates, important events, context)
3/ How does the grading work right now? The HSC Ancient History Task 1 is already over and I can't arrange one for myself rn because I have no knowledge in this course
4/ Is this course a lot like English (where markers have OCD with Essay structure) or is it more about dates, events, etc (I.e. Brain dumping)?

Cheers :)

your gonna have to work your ass off because you have a term's of work (potentially 1.5 modules of work to catch up on)

It'll be hard work catching up and doing the assignment in your own time, but there's nothing you missed that you specifically need for HSC other than the regular history skills (determining value/usefulness/bias/etc of sources). Content wise, you're fine as long as you're prepared to catch up.

Did you do Ancient in Year 11 - if not then you can't change into it as you have to do the Preliminary.

If you did then it is possible to catch up. Your teacher should arrange a make up assessment task for you or will have to come to some agreement on how to allocate your assessment marks to be fair to you and the rest of the class.

I have had a student do this so it is possible.
