dont want to sound arrogant, but like slidey i agree it was pretty easy, i checked it twice. Even though there were a few tricky qs, it wasnt that bad, u have to expect some tricky ones :)

lol, yeah.

Oh, was the Lead Acid Cell the big square one, or the little round one? Fuck I hope it was the big square one; I have absolutely no idea about the batteries, and I pretty much made it up using the std. potential reactions with Lead and MnO4, lol.

I thought the exam was OK- you can never really tell how you did because there were a few calculation-type questions (which you can never be too sure about) and a fair few extended response questions.

And the MCQs were gay.

Stuffed it

Got Q1 wrong.
Got the Haber graph partly wrong.
Not enough detail for my Shipwrecks (b)(ii) 3 marker on steel.
My discussion of the "Advances in Chemistry impact on technologies" discussion was tenuously linked to the question.
The last question "Justify and describe the procedure of electrolysis" was poorly done.

Not happy. Although, I think the Band 5/6 cut-off will be quite low this year. God knows I'll need it.

I'm happy...very good exam...but since it was easy, that means scaling won't be so fantastic.

That exam was a godsend. I was freaking out so bad about the Role of a Chemist and stuff like that, and there wasn't anything in there! It was all the "real" chemistry--very nice exam. Good work BoS :)

I thoughtb it was pretty easy... No big long complicated ones really, mostly pretty straightforward... Pretty easy to make silly mistakes though

I think you werent supposed to use the stuff on the filter paper, it was just susoended solids, the evaporating basin stuff was the dissolved stuff... I think...

the first reading was with the filter paper and the 2nd was with the basin
basin thing weighed more than the filter paper so yeh...
