i came in thinking it was going to solely be economics/business studies and then i got hit with lawI've done/endured it.
You're learning a very theory composed subject.
Best way to study for it is through active recall and revising notes.
Also contemplate if this is the right subject for you (I thouight I could handle it as it seemed pretty cool back in yr 9, but I absolutely hated every minute bc I didn't realise the the amount of content it requires to consolidate lmao) take this w/ a grain of salt though as you may be much more capable of memorising all that content.
I had exact same experience.i came in thinking it was going to solely be economics/business studies and then i got hit with law![]()
eco part of commerce>>>> law and politics part of commercei came in thinking it was going to solely be economics/business studies and then i got hit with law![]()
Hello, I did commerce in 2021 when I was a year 9 student, the course for me was a bit delirious due to online learning. Anyways, I can recall having an assignment where I had to do some legal stuff and analyse the cases and stuff like that. I received an A for commerce for it but I would recommend for the exams and assignments to ensure how processes work and try to hold retention of it. Stay close to the marking criteria too, helps a lot.does anyone have any tips/study techniques for commerce as a year 9 elective?
Frrr. My school last year everyone loved it now yr 10 the teacher changed and half the class is considering switching electiveEverybody who did commerce absolutely hated it in Year 9 but it was my favourite subject for some reason (if you enjoy it, take advantage) ! I think it might be because it is about finance, law, business and economics but once you understand the content, it's really fun to see it apply to in real life! For my school, our assessments were not in-class and we had to write a resume, create a brochure for business comparison and I forgot the rest but it is really easy if you put some effort into it. I suggest if it's a take-home task, get it checked up as many times as you can by your teacher (this made me get top 3 in commerce for my grade) and create good notes. If it's an in-class, create flashcards. ACTIVE-RECALL!!!
