Hi!

Essentially:
  • If (Mean ‐ Median) = 0, the distribution is symmetrical
  • If (Mean ‐ Median) > 0, the distribution is skewed to the right (positively skewed)
  • If (Mean ‐ Median) < 0, the distribution is skewed to the left (negatively skewed)
The following image illustrates what each distribution typically looks like:

As you can see, the positively skewed distribution has a similar shape to the one in your attachment.
