Do complete Lefties and Greenies get on your nerves? (1 Viewer)

I'm sure there's many of us out there who find radical and complete lefties as nutters. Am I right?

You see some protesting at global summits, against the phenomenon of globalisation, when half of them are using mobiles made overseas, clothes produced with cheap labour, and denouncing the processes that they either directly or indirectly support. I've often noticed when I debate with complete lefties (by that I mean hardcore communists, socialists or green backers) on political issues (I myself am a centrist), that they are very easily tempered, and not only tempered cannot seem to sustain logical and insighftul debate without calling you names, or accusing you of being such things as facist and racist etc.

Does anybody else see where I'm coming from?


P.S. I worked at a business abundant with hardcore lefties, it could get really scary.

I'd love to allay your insecurities about the 'threat' of left wing activism but I fear it would serve no useful purpose.
I suggest you learn to deal with extremists because they are a result of this thing we all seem to love: democracy.

I daresay that there are many people that get on greenies nerves and perhaps you are one of them so instead of getting all up in arms about the ridiculous nature of extreme lefties perhaps you would do well to realise that they are just as much a part of society as you are and instead of wailing on about them perhaps you should just get over it and move on...

What with all their "Rule of Law" and "Parliament" and moderate policies of the Labor or Liberal parties, and boring long discussions about politics that aren't even made amusing by naive idealism, aggressive rhetoric or ad-hominem attacks on those on the opposite side of the spectrum (since there isn't an opposite side of the spectrum).

I'm sure glad we don't get many of them on this forum anymore.

Chocking social programs, pushing policies would that create unemployement and inflation, their self-hypocrite nature as you described, affirmative action, "gay rights" etc. I can't go on. I'm not too sure how someone gets that retarded, but sheltered city life comes to mind.

Conservatives may "get on your nerves" more, but their policies work and they say what they mean and do, something retarded greenies and lefties could never achieve.

You are on the loony lefty fringe .. people on the left are typically those who have never worked or do not work for a living. I used to dislike conservatives too until I realised that I prefer personal responsibility over the nanny state, and me spending my own money rather than someone else.

As somebody who is lets say, a refugee in the rightist camp from the left, short answer: no, long answer: hell no, not anymore anyway, the old left is another matter.

I try not to, there are no beneficial or productive social policy ideas on the left and there hasnt been for a long, long time.

As such is my annoyance I shall burn a tree AND a baby in defiance of their stupid policies.

"Straight rights" , "slighly slim blue eyed middle aged male rights" , "zoophiliac rights" ...

Rights should never be based on something so stupid as to what one likes to engage in sexual activity with.

Gays have no rights, neither do straight people or anything else defined by sexual orientation.
