I'm wondering about the life cycle of the stars of 1 solar mass, 5 solar mass and 10 solar masses, and I am receiving conflicting results.

For 1 solar masses, does this occur?

Nebula -> Protostar -> Red Giant -> Main Sequence Type G -> Red Giant -> Nova -> Planetary Nebula -> White Dwarf

For 5 solar masses, does this occur?

Nebula -> Protostar -> Blue Super Giant -> Main Sequence Type B/A Star -> Red Giant -> Supernova -> Neutron Star

no, they are on the main sequence before they go to red giant.

protostar ----> main sequence ----> red giant ----> planetary nebula -----> white dwarf
